ScubaAroundTheWorld.com - about usHi, nice to meet you! I’m Lisa, scuba enthusiast since 2001. When solo traveling around Australia for three months in 2001 I did my first intro dives on the Great Barrier Reef and was hooked. I enjoy underwater photography and am trying my hand at videography now and then.

In 2002 I met my partner Mau and one of the reasons we connected was that we both loved scuba diving and travel. Since then we’ve traveled a lot and dived at many awesome dive sites. We did a live-aboard in Similan in Thailand, stayed on a refurbished oil rig for diving at Sipadan in Malaysian Borneo, went to The Philippines and dived at Bunaken in Indonesia. We also own a holiday home in Dahab, Egypt, which is fantastic for shore diving (and relaxing :-)).

I’ve been blogging since 2015, when we decided to travel around South East Asia with our little boy for 10 months. Recently I started Scuba Around The World because diving doesn’t really fit in with our family travel blog FlipFlopGlobetrotters.com. And since I love to talk about diving and I love blogging & writing, it only seemed logical to start a blog dedicated to my favorite hobby.
